I'm Fernanda Tavares, one of those models who shot to fame in the "brazilian invasion". I began modeling at the age of 9 doing small gigs in my hometown. When I turned 13 I won the Elite Look of the Year contest and a year later was invited by agents to go to Sao Paulo to pursue a career in modeling. I haven't stopped working since. My portfolio includes, Chanel, Emanuel Ungaro, Herve Leger, Gianni Versace, Blumarine, Chloe, Christian Lacroix, Missoni, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo, Valentino, John Galliano, Sonia Rykiel, Kenzo, and Yohji Yamamoto to name a few.
Because my life has been a rags-to-riches story, I don't feel comfortable wearing designer clothes when i'm not working. I find them too expensive. Yeah, I know that's kinda hard to believe for someone who is a millionaire, but I just don't feel comfortable living a lavish lifestyle. It just isnt my kind of life. I prefer to live modestly.
When I'm not jetting around the world, I like to go swimming, jogging, and like every Brazilian girl, party.
